Clean Up and Safety Service After the Sale:
Depending on the sale and the premises, it may be necessary to provide a clean and safe environment. Our team is well trained and qualified to:

  • Cap or disconnect electrical wiring
  • Cap and secure Water and Gas lines
  • Fill or cover holes in the floor
  • Remove or safely mark “Trip hazards”
  • Return to customer in broom swept condition

Shipping Assistance and Service:
We can supply you with a list of approved and qualified freight forwarders from our vendor list whether shipping locally, Nationwide or Internationally. Purchases from Online or Live Auctions can also be picked up by the customer or they can make their own freight arrangements with the carrier of their choice. Palletizing and Crating services are also available.


Within our scope of sales services we have the ability to sell our assets in a variety of ways.

  • Live Auction: We conduct a live sale onsite, these sales last 1 day.
  • Online Auction: We prepare your items and sell them online only, these sales last 7-10 days.
  • Live/Online Auction: we have your items online for 7 days prior to conduction a live auction, this type of sale generates the most interest and revenue.
  • Liquidation or Tag Sales: We come to your location and conduct a sale of your items, these sales generally advertised last 2-3 days.

ASSET APPRAISALS - The Appraisal Process

Surplus Asset Management specializes in auctions but can also provide professional appraisal services. By combining the two services, we are able to create better and more accurate appraisals for our clients.

The appraisal process is an orderly and concise method of reaching an estimate of value. The process has six major steps which include:

  1. definition of the asset
  2. preliminary survey and appraisal
  3. data collection and analysis
  4. application of the three approaches to value
  5. reconciliations of value indications
  6. final estimate of defined value

This process assists the appraiser in reaching a sound conclusion. The information is summarized and the value, in the opinion of the appraiser, is selected as the final estimate of value. We will then work with our clients to figure out the most feasible method in which a sale of the asset can occur.

SAM Auctions is dedicated to providing our clients with a seamless auction experience from start to finish. We offer a comprehensive list of third-party shipping and logistics companies who have experience and expertise in handling auction buyers transportation needs.

The links below are for your convenience in obtaining a shipping quote for large freight items that you may be bidding on. Click on the icon of your preferred carrier, fill out the information in the form and you will receive an immediate freight quote. All applicable information will be included in the item listing - weights, dimensions and freight class. We recommend you inquire about the freight cost prior to bidding on the item.

After being awarded any large freight item, you will need to schedule shipment yourself. Schedule the shipment by using the same process you used to get your quote, but go ahead and actually select “Schedule My Shipment”. Fill out that form. We will then verify your order and schedule your shipment based on that information and contact you via email to inform you of exactly what your shipping charge will be.

NOTE: the weight, dimension, and freight class is subject to change, information listed with each item is as accurate as possible.

Once your order has been paid for in full, your item(s) will be picked up and delivered to your specifications.

  • You must fill out the shipping form in its entirety to schedule shipping of any large freight items.
  • We recommend you insure ALL packages
  • The winning bidder is free to use any shipping company they chose, you are not limited to the suggestions given by SAM's.
  • The suggested transportation providers do NOT work for SAM Auction. They are independent contractors.
  • Once SAM has released the equipment to the service provider, SAM is no longer involved. Claims made after the equipment is released and signed-for should be made to the service provider or the carrier directly once a tracking number has been assigned.

Unless stated otherwise, winning buyers are responsible for:

  • Removing assets from their current location before the "removal deadline" stated in the sale's terms and conditions
  • Handling, packing, crating, rigging, or dismantling items
  • Shipping or transporting assets to their destination.

PLEASE NOTE: no refunds or credits for shortages or claims will be considered after the goods have left the premises.
